WILLOW WALK
Willow Walk is a quiet, pleasant neighborhood conveniently located on James Island. It is centrally situated between historic downtown Charleston and Folly Beach, Charleston's most popular public beach. The homes are moderately priced for James Island. I have called and talked with many of the present homeowners, and everyone I talked to loves living here.
There are approximately 150 homes in this community, ranging from 1100 to 1450 square feet, and from $110,000 to $125,000 in price. Many of the homes have wood siding. Some have fireplaces, and most have an attached 1-car garage, unless the garage has been converted into living space. Most of the yards are well-kept. The neighborhood lake reportedly is well-stocked with fish.
Willow Walk is a well-maintained community only minutes from downtown Charleston via the James Island connector. It is also only minutes from Folly Beach and the convenience of shopping, restaurants, churches, medical facilities, schools, parks and a variety of entertainment for the entire family. Nearby James Island County Park offers many fun-filled activities such as boating, rock climbing, hiking, crabbing, fishing and a slide splash. Don't forget to visit the new aquarium which has just recently opened in downtown Charleston, as well as the Spoleto Festival or the fishing pier at Folly Beach.
There is a YMCA close by, and Folly Beach and downtown Charleston are only 10 minutes away. There are many nice churches, restaurants and grocery stores in the area. There are also many video stores, a movie house and a post office very close by. In addition, Willow Walk is convenient to medical centers, hospitals, educational institutions and art galleries. The schools for this neighborhood are Harbor View Elementary, James Island Middle School and James Island High School.
